Proper interior designing is not just for homes, in fact if your office space is designed in a creative way it not only makes your office look professional but also increases work productivity. Here are few ideas to design your office space

Greenery: Try and have enough plants in your office, plants make your office look beautiful, it also gives a caring feeling towards the employees which in turn help in increased productivity and a comfortable and more enjoyable work environment.

Seating Plan: the ideal way to do this is to earmark specific areas where people can have team meetings, discussions and one on one`s, other areas for work and separate designated areas for relaxation like cafeteria where you can have a pool table, a small study corner where people can sit and read books, newspaper etc. and enjoy their break time.

Office layout: There are varied opinions on this, while some feel that an office with cubicles is the right way, there are others who feel that a more open office plan is the right way you can design it either way, however an open office concept encourages human interaction and bonhomie, an open office where people communicate with each other on a constant basis perform better because there is constant sharing of ideas and knowledge amongst each other and as many would think it does not distract you from your work, however if you think that you need a few cubicles for senior management level, you can install a few cubicles to create that distance, however with the modern day philosophy of open door policy, it is advisable to have very few cubicles. 

Meticulous planning should go into office layout. Space between desks should be enough to allow movement, also there should be no desks placed in areas next to restrooms. The best way to go about seating is to have a long table instead of a desk for each person; a long desk encourages healthy discussions and interaction between employees which increases work productivity. You could also move people around on a periodic basis, moving people around helps them to think differently and increases idea stimulation

Furniture: Furniture is another key aspect that you need to think about deeply when you are designing your office, you must have chairs that provide a lot comfort to your employees, and also the chairs should be adjustable with the desks with elbow room to operate.

Ceilings: The ceilings in your office should preferably be high to increase the feeling of space, go for colors that are warm, make effective use of natural lights; natural lights create an atmosphere which helps in increased work productivity.

It is a proven fact that people spend their maximum time in their offices so it make sense that you design your office in a way that it is visually appealing and is conducive to increased work productivity, also the office should be designed in a way that your office reflects your personality,

your values and how your office can affect your employees.
